Shot in the arm for Entembeni inmates.

Mthwakazi Queens on friday donated food hampers to Entembeni Old peoples home in Bulawayo following distress calls that inmates were facing starvation.

Sazini Malaba the founder of the organisation who is based in the United Kingdom, told Southern Eye on Sunday that the donation comprised of mostly basic commodities needed by the institution among them mealie meal, cooking oil, and washing soap.

Mthwakazi Queens was formed in 2015 and will again next week donate to 10 vulnerable families in the city.

Malaba said the NGO also seeks to empower women in Matebeleland region to be independent and confident in what they are doing. Entembeni director Naomi Mhlanga paid tribute to the NGO for coming to the rescue of the institution.
